Jamie's Breakthrough Session Testimonial
I joined Clubhouse on January 31, 2021. It was not long after, I stumbled upon a room
called Creating an Empowered Life. The title intrigued me and I joined to listen. It was
clear from the moment I heard Ray talking that he was different than most coaches. His
opinions were refreshing, coated with confidence, backed with data, and anything but
sugar-coated. It was not the place for someone who wanted to hear “Everything is going
to be ok if you just believe.” I liked it.
I found myself drawn to the conversation each morning. Ray would often share
exercises and tools, giving listeners a glimpse into the power of the unconscious mind.
The first exercise I participated in was “The Ring of Power.” Soon after creating this
anchor, I encountered the perfect situation to use it, and I did. Surprise… it worked! I
nailed an on-the-spot presentation to a high-level executive with little to no preparation.
This was the first time I thought to myself, “Hmm… maybe there’s something to this.”
Over the course of several months, I began implementing more of the tools Ray would
share. He would occasionally describe the Breakthrough Session as a method used to
rid oneself of the emotional baggage and limiting beliefs accumulated over the years. I
didn’t understand what this meant at the time. I comprehended the concept of emotional
baggage. I didn’t believe it applied to me.
I’ve always considered myself to be a happy and successful person. I have an amazing
family, great friends, and a successful career - nothing to complain about. “Why would I
need a Breakthrough Session?” you may ask. The truth is, I didn’t think I did! I decided
to reach out to Ray after hearing him say something along the lines of, “If you work with
me, I can guarantee you will have a more fulfilling life”. That’s a tall statement (and one I
now fully support).
I work for a fast-growing start-up company in Durham, NC. When I started in 2018, I
was hire number four and we are now twenty-five. Many of those hires happened in the
last year. If you’re familiar with the start-up lifestyle, you know. It’s fun. It’s exciting. It
can also be a ton of work and very stressful. You are often wearing multiple hats and
performing the job of what should done by three employees. I loved and hated it at the
same time. I worked twelve-hour days on a regular basis and more often than not,
fourteen. Work was my life.
I had known for some time that work was a major source of my frustration. With intense
growth, comes intense growing pains. The idea of work-life balance felt impossible. It
was clear to me that I was harboring resentment towards my job and coworkers. I have
attended leadership training in the past that increased my ability to control my emotions
and external reactions. While my leadership abilities improved, my internal attitude
remained “pissed the F off”. If there was any chance working with Ray could help me be
a happier employee… I knew that would overflow into every aspect of my life.
This is when I decided to reach out to Ray for a free consultation. I explained my
situation to Ray and what I was hoping to get out of the process. My biggest concern
was having to admit to shameful actions of my past - out loud. I remember what he told
me. He said, “I have zero respect for your problems. I have the utmost respect for you.
My goal is to help you become the person you want to be, not to judge you for anything
you’ve done. I do not carry this information with me.”
After going through the Breakthrough Session, I genuinely believe those statements are
true. His professionalism has never wavered… before, during, or after my session. He
helped me identify negative emotions and limiting beliefs I didn’t even know I had.
The actual Breakthrough Session was unlike anything I had ever experienced. I was not
someone who practiced meditating or visualizing techniques in the past. I’m uncertain I
even believed in their value. I do now. As we were going through - what I would
describe as - an intensely guided visualization process, I wasn’t sure I was doing it
correctly. Ray encouraged me not to worry. It didn’t matter what my conscious mind was
thinking or feeling. He was speaking to my unconscious mind. The concept seemed
foreign and all I could do was trust in the process.
I didn’t feel very different immediately after the session. I went about my day wondering
if it had worked. That night I fell asleep at 7PM and slept until 6AM the next morning.
This was my first clue - SOMETHING happened. Seven hours of sleep was my norm at
the time and rarely were those seven hours uninterrupted. I knew it had to be mental
exhaustion. The sleep felt like a giant reset.
Over the next two weeks, I started noticing real changes. Not in the moment
necessarily, but in my reflections. It would hit me later that my actions and/or reactions
were very different than they had been in the past. It was surprising and exciting
because it didn’t feel like I was actively trying to be different. I simply was different.
Better. Happier. Unburdened.
I would recommend the Breakthrough session to family, friends, and strangers alike. No
matter what state you think your life is in, how happy you think you already are - I would
recommend it just the same. Through the Breakthrough Session, I discovered a side of
happiness I never knew existed.
